With chapt 1 physical preparation then chapt 2 how to cut with a iaito then chapt 3 how to cut with a shinken (katana) you will be able to practice tameshigiri the good way and realise same basic cuts than Ronin Hood :
kesa giri, gyaku kesa giri and suihei.
With these 3 chapters you will be able to have a powerful body stances, suit your iaido gi and draw your iaito/sword for having tameshigiri clean angle cuts/trajectory on omote at your own dojo (at your own risks)
Every tools necessary to provide for the lessons will be indicated on the course depending on your budget : from mini to damyo budget
Chapter 1 : TAMESHIGIRI physical preparation
With this very important chapter you will prepare your body structure strength and stamina for sword/throw/strike practice
Chapter 2 : TAMESHIGIRI cutting practice with a iaito
This chapter will give you proper way to cut with a iaito on basic tameshigiri cuts & stances using benefits of chapter 1 : cardio stamina & biomechanics transfering power threw the cut
Chapter 3 : TAMESHIGIRI practice with IAITO & SHINKEN (real japanese sword=katana)
This chapter will adapt knowledge from chapter 2 : how to cut and practice with a iaito
and will give you the keys for practicing with a shinken : stances/angles/handling/ha-suji
You will be able to deal with any blade type of weight/weight distribution or length blade's shinken
You will find here the correct & safe way to cut with any type of shinken (japanese sword) on basic tameshigiri cut
we will give you the tool list for any necessary items for practice depending on your budget
